Gadsden Hotel – Positive Progression

Gadsden Hotel – Positive Progression

After being featured on HOTEL IMPOSSIBLE in May of 2013, Peak Hospitality was shortly thereafter to manage all facets of Arizona’s Grand Hotel. The hotel and staff have been working at an ambitious yet detailed plan to restore the status and profitability of the property. With many changes, additions, upgrades and staffing, the Gadsden Hotel is well on its way to truly becoming Arizona’s grand hotel.

During the past six months the Gadsden Hotel has undergone some significant changes in management, remodeling and overall evolution. Notable changes include the remodeling of the famous Silver & Spur Tavern. The Tavern received new flooring, custom booth upholstery, lighting and a new attitude of service complete with Douglas’s best Bar Menu. Recently, the original Saddle & Spur neon sign on G Avenue was repaired and now casts a rainbow of lights on Douglas’ main street.

The Saddle & Spur completed, focus turned to El Conquistador, the hotels Dining Room.  El Conquistador offers an American dining experience, and also features local favorites. New menus have been introduced for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the signature entrees being an expanded offering of steaks such as Filet Mignon.

Perhaps the most exciting changes have been occurring on the Mezzanine Level where all guest rooms have undergone a complete transformation.  The rooms were completely renovated and features 18” thick pillow top mattresses, new furniture, lighting, bathrooms and more. Introductory rates will be offered on these rooms through the month of May.

Recently, the local newspaper “Douglas Dispatch” stopped by to catch up with the progress being made. The article highlights a Jacuzzi Suite and information discussed during an interview with Peak Hospitality President, Theo Barela.

We are happy to share some of the latest pictures taken at the hotel below. You can also check out the Dispatch article that appeared in the February 27, 2014 issue (link provide below).
